The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is low-cost, often leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually up the cost of oil, the problem of discovering alternative sources of fuel has actually entered into sharp focus.

In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one business is benefiting from the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, already their client-list includes McDonald's.
